  • The White Deer Cavern Academy

    The White Deer Cave Academy (Bailudong Academy) is located on Mount Lu’s slopes, named after the poet Li Bo (not to be confused with the famous poet Li Bai), who raised white deer here. It is one of the four most famous ancient academies in China, with the other three being Yuelu Academy in Yuelu Mountain, Changsha, Hunnan Province; Songyang Academy in Songshan Mountain, Henan Province and Yintian Academy in Nanjing city, Jiangsu Province. Bailudong Academy was built in 1940.

  • The Five-Old-Man Peak

    The Five-Old-Man Peak (Wulao Peaks) located at the southeast side of Mt Lu, is a famous peak with an elevation of 1,436 meters. The peak is named after the fact that the summit of the peak which was cut across by a mountain pass and split into five separate peaks. Seen from the base of the mountain, the five peaks look like five old men sitting on the ground. Wulao Peaks are the best venue on Mt. Lu to watch the sunrise and sunset.

  • The Meilu Villa

    It was established in 1903 by Britain's Lord Lannoze. The whole building reflects British winding corridor architectural style and stresses the abstract beautiful rule of the building. It was transferred to Mrs.Bali in 1922, then she presented it as a gift to Song Meiling in 1934. From then on, Meilu villa became the summer official residence of Jiang jieshi (the chairman of KMT). During the meetings of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Mao Zedong lived here.

  • The Former Site of an Association

    It was established in 1937, originally known as Mount Lu auditorium. In period of the Republic of China, Chiang Kai-shek held 11 meetings of Mount Lu here. After liberation, CPC held three meetings of Mount Lu here separately in 1970.

  • The Museum

    The Museum also called Lulin Villa, is Mao Zedong's former residence which features pottery and bronzes dating from various periods of ancient China, as well as calligraphy from the Tang Dynasty and paintings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, Among them, a painting of Xu conglong (a Qing Dynasty painter) called "Five Hundred Buddists" is the most valuable.The villa combines the Chinese and Western architectural style harmoniously. It was changed into a museum in 1984.

  • The Suspension Bridge of Stone-Gate Ravine

    The Bridge between the two ravines seems a line of artificial rainbow from two mountains, as it was crafted by the invisible hands of gods. Standing on the bridge, people can look far into the distance.

  • The Dragon-head Cliff

    Besides a craggy cliff, it springs up some thousand feet out of the ground, rearing in the sky like a dragon head. Standing at the top, one can enjoy a bird's eye view of the millions of steep wall-like stones and hear the surfing of wind in the pine forest mingled with roaring of the waterfalls in the Stone Gate Ravine.


  • Tianchi Lake

    The Temple was built by an emperor who started Ming Dynasty. In Song Dynasty people renamed it as “Tianchi”. Here tourists can see "wenshu" platform, old nurse's shrine, Tianchi Tower, Terraces, “yuanfu” temple and etc. Furthermore, it is the best place to view a sea of clouds and “ Buddhism light”.


  • The Immortal's Cavern

    The Immortal Cavern is like a forward stretching hand with 10 meters high and deep separately, and it gains it’s name because Lu Tung-pin practiced austerities here and became immortal according to legend. There are shrines for idols and old monarch's halls in the cavern. Besides, Toad Stone, Imperial Tablet Pavilion and Club Moss add mystical flair to the hole.


  • The Brocade Valley

    This noted gorgeous 1.5 kilometer valley was finally seek out in the year of 1980. According to legend, the monk "huiyuan" gathered medicinal herbs in this valley for it’s brocade scenery. In here, you can also see arch bridge, head-like stone and beautiful peaks.


  • The Flower Path

    It was commonly believed that flowers were withered under the mountain, while in full bloom at the top of the mountain on the contrary. You can enjoy all kinds of rare flowers and amazing Violin-like lake at the same time.


  • Situated in the north of Jiangxi Province, at 115°52'-116°08E'29°26-29°41'N, it occupies an area of 302 square Kilometers, The Great Hang Yang Peak, the highest peak of the mountain, is 1,474 meters high(above sea level).

    On December 6, 1996, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural elected Mount Lu landscape in the World Heritage List and gave the following remarks “with its peculiar style in historic remains, which is melted with remarkable natural beauty, Mount Lu has formed a highly- aesthetically-valued cultural view closely relevant to the spirit of Chinese people and their cultural life”. The mountain boasts its mighty peaks, roaring waterfalls, mysterious cloud mists, philosophical religions, ancient academy, numerous remains of ice age and many western-styled villas. It was among the first Key Scenic Districts of China and was one of the districts bestowed the titles “Forty Best Scenic Districts of China”, “National Exemplary Q-vitalized”, “Scenic and Historic Interest District”, “National Geo-park of China”, “AAAA-rated Tourism District” and etc.
